Interesting or Nah’s MLS Game of the Week | New York Red Bull vs Philadelphia Union

FANDUEL SPORTSBOOK LINE: NY Red Bulls +135, Philadelphia +185, Draw +250, Over/Under 2.5

For a game that may easily turn into a high-stakes play-off matchup in a few months, third and first place in the Eastern Conference are facing off. The division is currently being led by Philadelphia Union, who are attempting to win the east for the second time in three seasons.

Last game, Jim Curtin’s squad triumphed emphatically once more, thrashing Atlanta United 4-1. Nathan Harriel, Dániel Gazdag, Mikael Uhre, and Julián Carranza all scored goals. As a result, the Union joins the Red Bulls from a decade ago as the only clubs in MLS to score four goals or more in three straight games. Also, since LAFC has now lost three games in a row, the Union are now tied for first place in the Supporters’ Shield standings.

In Red Bulls last match, Gerhard Struber’s team faced Club de Foot Montréal, the team above them in the east, but they came away from Quebec with a decisive victory. As of right now in the MLS season, RBNY is just the 11th team to have collected 30 points away from home. With ten points overall from their last four games, the Red Bulls are just behind Montréal in second place.
