MLS Week 7 Games

Cincinnati (+115) vs Philadelphia (+220)

Our Pick for MLS Week 7 : Cincinnati

FC Cincinnati is off to its greatest start ever with 14 points after six games after winning three straight home games for the first time in club history. Cincinnati would have 17 points after defeating the Union, one more than it had during the abbreviated 2020 season. (16 points in 23 games).

Since the end of last season, the Union has dropped three straight regular-season away games, including both losses this year. Since a run of six straight losses away from home from September 2017 to May 2018, this is Philadelphia’s longest road losing streak in regular season play.

LAFC (-200) vs Austin (+450)

Our Pick for MLS Week 7 : LAFC

In its last 16 MLS home games, Los Angeles FC has won 14 of them. (D1 L1, including winning MLS Cup in a penalty shoot-out). Even though one of those defeats came at the hands of Austin FC in May of last year, LAFC has only dropped two of its last 26 home MLS games (including playoffs).

Austin FC has suffered defeat in six of its last seven MLS away games (W1), including the Western Conference Final loss to LAFC last year. Austin had only lost two of its previous 12 MLS road games before to this run. (W8 D2).

NYCFC (-105) vs Atlanta (+260)

Our Pick for MLS Week 7: NYCFC

In its last six games against Atlanta United, New York City FC has won all six of them. (W4 D2, including playoffs). Atlanta’s last victory over the Red Bulls on Saturday snapped their nine-match unbeaten streak against them in Major League Soccer.

With 13 points after six games, Atlanta United has tied its point total from the first six games of its MLS Cup-winning 2018 season. This is the finest start in club history. Atlanta has scored in 17 of its previous 18 games and is one of only four teams (Clb, Min, Van) to have done so this season.

Seattle (-115) vs St. Louis (+270)

Our Pick for MLS Week 7: Seattle

Seattle has 13 points after six games this season (W4 D1 L1), which is the eighth time in 15 MLS seasons that the team has at least 10 points. The Sounders have yet to concede a goal at home this year (W2 D1), and four straight home shutouts during the regular season last occurred in April-May 2015.

St. Louis City SC lost to Minnesota United at home by a score of 1-0, recording the team’s first defeat in history. Only one team in the post-shootout period (since 2000), the Red Bulls (5 straight) last season, has won its first four road matches in a season. St. Louis has won each of its first three away games.
