MLS Game of the Week | LAFC vs Seattle Sounders
The Seattle Sounders will close out the month of July with a trip to Banc of California Stadium this weekend to face Los Angeles FC. With 45 points after 21 games, LAFC remains the team to beat in Major League Soccer, while this season’s CONCACAF Champions League winners are a point behind the final playoff spot in the Western Conference, despite defeating the Colorado Rapids 2-1 in their previous meeting.
Last weekend, the Black and Gold shut down Sporting Kansas City 2-0, their first clean sheet since late June, when they blanked the New York Red Bulls by the same score. They have points in all but one of their 2022 regular-season games at Banc of California Stadium, having scored 11 goals in their previous four MLS games in sunny California.
