The 2022 NWSL championship game will be held at Audi Field in Washington on the weekend of October 28th. The announcement comes after the USWNT announced on Wednesday that one of its two September friendlies against Nigeria will be held at the D.C. soccer field.
The stadium, which opened in 2018, has also been named the site of the 2023 MLS All-Star game, which will take place next July. The NWSL championship game is apart of the quickly growing soccer history of Audi Field and for the greater Washington DC community, one of the original fanbases in American soccer.
